Biography

Jo Digs Band has been in exsistance since mid 2000. They have played well over 800 shows and have gone through a couple of line up changes. Originaly they were a 5 piece band for for most of 2000-2003. After they had esablished themselves by playing festivals and out of town shows like many bands there was a split in late 2003. One half founded the talented jam band Sloppy Roast Beef while two original members continued as Jo Digs, but as an acoustic duo. In early 2004 they added a veteran percussionist/drummer from the band Milele Roots and Sweet Bangin A, and just happens to be a cousin of the lead singer. Jo Digs continued playing shows as a threesome all around their home town of Chattanooga, Tn. and venturing regionally. Everyone continued to write and work the songs into the set list. They have been inspired by and compared to many different artists including Jack Johnson, Ben harper and similar acts. The crowds are very receptive to the Digs boy's as they put a twist to there own Folk/Americana, with two and three part harmonies. With the passing of each show they become a more tight nit crew, personaly as well as musically. A bass player was added recently as well. The foursome mesh very well and many new songs have been added to thier live show, and it seemes that more and more doors are starting to open. They play a large veriety of venues and there fan base is spreading and becoming more diverse. They now are in the process of solidifying which of there originals to put on there CD. They continue to play shows in the meantime. Their new music will be featured on here after the completion of the CD.
